Do Your Kids Have Love Handles? Learn Surprising Truths About Breakfast Cereals

Most breakfast cereals would be included on a list of fat causing foods and we've known this information for a long time; however, when I read this article (see below) I was shocked!

It's no wonder why childhood obesity is rising at staggering numbers!


Kids’ Cereals: Some Are 50% Sugar: "Oct. 1, 2008 -- Cereal can be a great choice for a quick and nutritious breakfast, but some choices represent the nutritional equivalent of a doughnut in a bowl, according to a new investigation from Consumer Reports.

The group evaluated 27 of the breakfast cereals that are most heavily marketed to children, considering not just their sugar content, but also the amount of sodium, fiber, calories, and nutrients in a recommended serving.

Two of the worst-rated cereals -- Post’s Golden Crisps and Kellogg’s Honey Smacks -- were more than 50% sugar with very little fiber.

A serving of Honey Smacks has 15 grams of sugar -- 3 more grams than is found in a Dunkin’ Donuts glazed doughnut. Golden Crisps has 14 grams of sugar in a 3/4 cup serving and less than 1 gram of fiber.
In all, 11 of the tested cereals had 12 or more grams of sugar per serving, or as much as the glazed doughnut, Gayle Williams of Consumer Reports Health tells WebMD.

Parents who would never give their children doughnuts for breakfast may be choosing these cereals without knowing that from a nutritional standpoint they really aren’t much better,” she says."

Lose Love Handles Without Counting Calories


The funny thing is that you can actually lose weight without having to do any dieting at all!

Love Handles & Diabetes



The other day I was cruising through Yahoo when I came across this interesting article (see below).

Obesity blamed for doubling rate of diabetes cases - Yahoo! News:

"Diabetes was the nation's seventh-leading cause of death in 2006, according to the CDC. More than 23 million Americans have diabetes, and the number is rapidly growing. About 1.6 million new cases were diagnosed among adults last year.

In Type 2 diabetes, cells do not properly use insulin, a hormone needed to convert sugar into energy, and the pancreas gradually loses its ability to produce it. The illness can cause sugar to build up in the body, leading to complications such as heart disease, blindness, kidney failure and poor circulation that leads to foot amputations."

Similarly, you may be interested in knowing that many of the so-called "causes" of diabetes are the same causes for putting on belly fat - and, for the most part, it all comes down to our diets and the foods that we are eating.

Fat-causing foods add to your love handles and a host of other illnesses and diseases while, on the other hand, certain fat burning foods will allow you to rapidly lose love handles while vastly improving your health!

Hello friends!

Welcome to the first blog post aimed at providing some of the most valuable, powerful and life changing information on how to get rid of love handles and lose belly fat for a leaner, healthier and sexier waist!

Several years ago, I found myself travelling down an unhealthy spiral of weight gain, a lack of energy and dwindling self confidence about my appearance.

Many of my colleagues noticed my weight gain and made joking comments referencing my 'gut' and a medical doctor told me that I was obese. My pants were tight, my belly over-hanged my belt and I felt unappealing to the opposite sex.

Something had to change ...

I tried most of the popular fad diets (low carb / high protein, low fat, no fat, counting calories, etc.) and often had short term weight loss results ... but frequently put back on more weight than I lost!

Committed to finally gettting rid of my love handles, I kept pushing forward with my research and investment into my health. Finally, I came across a new approach to health and weight loss that completely changed my life!

I lost 10 pounds in the first 10 days ... and one pound a day for the next few weeks!

It was unbelievable! My health improved dramatically! I had more energy, required less sleep, thought more clearly, regained my confidence - I felt like a million bucks! (In fact, years later, I still look great and feel even better!!)

Armed with this knowledge, I decided I was going to make a difference in peoples' lives by sharing my experiences with the world.
